KARACHI – Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested renowned singer-turned-preacher Junaid Jamshed’s attacker in Karachi.
According to media details, one of four suspects Zainul Abideen, was collared in Karachi’s Dhoraji area, according to police. The officials said that he would be shifted to Islamabad for investigation. Famous religious evangelist Junaid Jamshed was beaten at Islamabad airport by religious extremist while travelling to Islamabad.
National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) had completed the identification of four alleged individuals who attached Junaid Jamshed. Rawalpindi police issued a notification of their arrest and a team arrives Karachi to arrest the suspects who belong to Sunni Tehreek.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has directed the city police officer Rawalpindi to register a case on the complaint of Junaid Jamshed and arrest the accused.
