KARACHI: Security agencies conducted a raid near Hyderabad on Thursday and detained Muhammad Ali also known as Asad Kharal, a clerk allegedly involved in corruption, a private TV channel reported.
The channel reported that the raid was conducted with the support of intelligence agencies. The arrested person was shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation. According to a channel, the paramilitary rangers were interrogating Kharral for his involvement in various cases of mega corruption.
The paramilitary force had carried out several raids in many cities of Sindh over the past many days in a bid to apprehend Kharal. He was also reported to have fled when the security agencies raided in Larkana a few days ago.
Earlier, Rangers Director General Major General Bilal Akbar had expressed his reservations about Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal and had demanded handing over of minister’s brother Tariq Siyal and his close aide Asad Kharal to the paramilitary force for questioning, the channel said.
