ISLAMABAD: The federal government has allocated Rs 151 million for initiating the Information Technology Parks Development project in Islamabad.
The government also allocated Rs 230 million for construction of Cross-Border Optical Fiber Communication (OFC) System between China and Pakistan for international connectivity of Voice/data traffic and Rs 300 million had been designated for Replacement of Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) Network of AJK (SCO) said an official of the ministry.
A sum of Rs 128 million had also been earmarked for Laying of OFC to connect Remote Locations of AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan. For Gilgit-Baltistan an amount of Rs 10 million has been allocated in PSDP for Expansion and Up-gradation of GSM network.
